The rights of persons detained in Belgium has evolved a lot in recent years.
To impose a disciplinary sanction on an inmate in a prison, the law requires that a specific procedure be followed.
This procedure notably provides for the possibility for detainees to receive the assistance of a lawyer who will inside the jail in order to assist them in the context of disciplinary proceedings.
